Jack DeOliveira

Jack leads the organization’s research and advocacy efforts. A Connecticut native, he holds degrees from the University of Alabama and Norwich University, and is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the University of South Carolina. His public service experience includes roles in the Connecticut General Assembly, the South Carolina Office of the State Treasurer, and a regional council of governments. He was also elected to serve as a Burgess (Town Council member), contributing to oversight of municipal operations and budgeting. Jack’s work focuses on the intersection of government structure, policy implementation, and public trust, with a particular emphasis on how institutions adapt to change. He has worked closely with lawmakers, agency leaders, and civic organizations at the federal, state, and local levels to support effective, accountable governance.
