Leave a Lasting Legacy
Acorn Legacy Society
Our state’s magnificent Charter Oak grew from a single acorn. Likewise, your legacy gift today can make an enormous impact tomorrow. Through the Acorn Legacy Society, you can secure a future of freedom for Connecticut’s families and businesses by including Yankee Institute in your estate planning.
Your generosity and vision will equip YI to continue and expand its work of ensuring that our beautiful state becomes a place where future generations can stay, grow, and prosper. You are also assured that your hard-earned assets will be used to advance the principles you supported during your lifetime: liberty, limited government, and opportunity for all.
When you include Yankee Institute in your will, you become a member of the Acorn Legacy Society. We invite you to join this distinguished group of dedicated individuals committed to a free and prosperous future for the people of our state.
Ways To Give
1.
Name Yankee Institute in Your Will:
You can donate to Yankee Institute through your will. A bequest of your assets may also bring a tax benefit to your family, as your estate is entitled to an “estate tax charitable deduction” for the full value of your bequest.
2.
Beneficiary Designations on Retirement Plans or Life Insurance:
You can designate Yankee Institute as a charitable beneficiary of your qualified retirement plan such as an IRA or your life insurance policy.
3.
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from IRAs:
QCDs count toward Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) without increasing taxable income, while providing tax benefits.
Tax ID: 52-1358144

The sum of $ _________ (or ________ percent of my assets) to Yankee Institute, of Wethersfield, Connecticut, (IRS Tax ID 52-1358144), provided that this charity is still in existence at my death, qualifies for a charitable tax deduction, and is following its original mission.”
Your Accountant and Attorney
In all cases, we encourage benefactors to consult with their own accountants or attorneys regarding estate plans.
