Welcome to the 2025 Legislative Session! 

My name is Bryce Chinault, and I am the Director of External Affairs at Yankee Institute, a public policy organization committed to empowering the people of Connecticut to forge a brighter future for themselves and their families. We do this by advancing free-market, limited-government solutions that will strengthen our communities and build a vibrant, hopeful future for Connecticut’s hard-working people.  

We want to work with you to build a broad-based coalition to encourage sound policy reforms to enable Connecticut residents to forge a better future for themselves and their families.  

To that end, Yankee Institute’s legislative goals include: 

• Securing Connecticut’s Fiscal Future by Protecting the Fiscal Guardrails 

• Expanding Educational Access & Opportunity 

• Ensuring Taxpayers Aren’t Forced to Subsidize Striking Workers 

• Lowering Energy Costs By Expanding Our Options & Not Only “Going Green” 

• Fostering Workforce Participation by Reforming Occupational Licensing  

• Protecting Taxpayers by Pushing for a Wage Freeze for State Employees 

• Increasing Access to Healthcare Through Certificate of Need Repeal 

• Spurring Economic Growth Through Tax and Regulatory Reform 

We are here to help provide all policymakers with valuable insights.
