Cilantro’s Specialty Food & Coffee Roasters Turns Coffee Shop into a Grocery Store and Prepares Meals for the Homeless, Guilford, CT.  

Cilantro’s Specialty Foods, a local coffee shop in downtown Guilford has remained open for takeout to serve their local customers, but has also expanded efforts to serve the homeless population at New Haven’s Columbus House—a non-profit organization that provides meals to the homeless.  

Cindy Wallace, co-owner of Cilantro’s, and her son Austin have turned the usual café portion of the restaurant into a mini-grocery store and are utilizing the kitchen to cook large batches of meals of the Columbus House.
