We believe…in low-cost energy for all of Connecticut’s families and businesses. Connecticut has some of the worst electricity prices in the country. Yankee Institute pursues policies that promote freedom, and expanding energy options across the state, such as allowing small nuclear reactors, repealing the Jones Act, among others. However, the state legislature has increasingly introduced green energy policies that are restrictive, such as a “green” amendment and a ban on gas-powered vehicles by 2035. These ideas, coupled with high-energy costs, are detrimental to our state’s low- to middle-class families.
