It was a busy week at the Capitol with various committees meeting and holding public hearings. The Progressive Caucus unveiled their legislative proposals this week, and no surprise they are proposing a more progressive tax
Isabel graduated cum laude from the University of Connecticut in 2017 and completed a master’s degree in Public Administration in 2018. A former Yankee intern, Isabel involved herself in politics during her time at UConn and held several internship positions including positions at the ACLU of CT and the Democracy Fund in Washington D.C.
With session underway, various legislative committees met this week to raise concepts for bills. Many of the concepts are relative to bills we expected to see this session, and were highlighted in last week’s report.
Lamont’s Proposals The 2020 Legislative session began Wednesday, February 5 with Governor Lamont’s “state of the state” address where he proposed his budget adjustments and highlighted his legislative proposals. The $22.3 billion budget adjustments increase
